Stephanie & Izzy

I told them to write out short letters to each other, and to read aloud day of our shoot so they can both feel the magic of their love before the shoot. Two weeks before the shoot I asked what their love languages were, something they thought of so maybe we can showcase this throughout the shoot. Stephanie’s were “Words of Affirmation” and Izzy’s was “Acts of Service.” Both held a lot of weight for each other so I wanted to make sure we showcased their love in different ways.

Through understanding and story telling, Izzy and Stephanie enjoyed 1 beautiful hour with me, becoming vulnerable and open to photographing their gorgeous engagement photos.

Their journey together began in college.

I met the two on the sandy beaches of Del Mar, California. A beach where they grew up going to as kids, high-schoolers and now as adults, occasional visits on the weekends.

I love getting to know my clients before, during and after their photoshoot. I always end up becoming friends with my clients because I love getting to know everyone and their stories and we all end up becoming really comfortable with each other.

Izzy and Stephanie became friends in college through mutual friends. Their friend’s knew his friends, his friends knew her friends and something sparked for Izzy. He saw the way Stephanie treated her friends with the utmost kindness, thoughtfulness and love. He realized that Stephanie was lovable, sweet, go-getting, smart.

It didn’t take them long to start dating and then a year after they graduated, Izzy asked Stephanie to move in with him. They’ve been dating for 10 years now, and after agreeing that once they felt financial secure and stable within their careers they would get married.

End of 2022, Izzy made his big romantic sweet gesture, and purposed to Stephanie, asking to be wife. She of course said yes, and they got to relive their journey on the beach on this very beautiful sunny day.
